Amanda Balionis will make comeback at The Masters after missing Rory McIlroy win
Amanda Balionis and the Golf on CBS crew is set to make its return to TV screens at The Masters after an extended absence, missing Rory McIlroy’s victory at The Players
Amanda Balionis will be back on the air at The Masters next month after the CBS reporter enjoyed a break of several weeks off.
Balionis and the rest of the CBS crew have not covered the PGA Tour since the Genesis Invitational last month, with NBC holding the broadcast rights for the Mexico Open, Cognizant Classic, Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players, Valspar Championship, and the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
NBC will also broadcast next week’s Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio before the torch is passed back to CBS for a tradition like no other, The 2025 Masters at Augusta National.
Balionis – who doubles as a sideline reporter on CBS’s NFL coverage – and her colleagues have had to watch a fascinating few weeks on the PGA Tour while NBC has been on the ground, with Rory McIlroy claiming his second victory of the season at The Players, while Russell Henley secured a breakthrough victory on the big stage at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
McIlroy’s win at TPC Sawgrass was particularly captivating, overcoming J.J. Spaun in a three-hole Monday playoff after the final round was hit by bad weather. It was McIlroy’s second victory at The Players, emboldening his hopes that his agonizing 10-year major drought will finally end this year.

Djokovic learns fate in new home as Sabalenka addresses behaviour
Express Sport brings you the latest tennis news from the Paris Masters.
We’re reaching the business end of the Paris Masters, as eight players become four in the French capital. Jannik Sinner is the overwhelming favourite to lift the trophy after Carlos Alcaraz was dumped out by Cameron Norrie in the Spaniard’s opening match. Norrie was then beaten by Valentin Vacherot, whose amazing 10-match winning streak at Masters 1000 level came to an end when he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Canadian star Auger-Aliassime will face Alexander Bublik in the semis. Bublik defeated Alex de Minaur, who is among those to have already qualified for the year-end ATP Finals. Sinner is through to his first Paris Masters semi-final after beating Ben Shelton. He’ll face defending champion Alexander Zverev, who survived a tough match against Daniil Medvedev.
Novak Djokovic is not involved in the Paris Masters, having decided to skip the event for the second year in a row, but he has learned his fate in the draw of next week’s ATP 250 in Athens. And over in Riyadh, the WTA Finals are about to get underway.
