The Best Decision He Ever Made”: Nelly Korda Reveals Key Moment from Her Caddie That Changed Everything
Golf superstar Nelly Korda is known for her fierce focus, graceful swing, and champion mindset. But behind every great golfer is a trusted voice — and for Nelly, that voice belongs to her caddie. In a recent interview, the world No. 1 opened up about one game-changing moment on the course, calling it “the best decision he ever made.”

Without naming the exact tournament, Nelly recalled a high-pressure situation where the outcome of the hole — and possibly the entire round — hung in the balance. She was leaning toward an aggressive shot that could’ve gone either way. But her caddie, reading both the moment and her energy, stepped in with a calm suggestion that changed the course of the day.

“He told me to trust the smarter play, to take a breath and choose patience over pressure,” Nelly shared. “It was the best decision he ever made — and it ended up saving the round.”

Trust, Timing, and Teamwork
Moments like that highlight the invisible yet crucial role caddies play at the highest level of the game. For Korda, it’s about more than carrying the bag or calculating yardages — it’s about chemistry, calmness, and trust when the pressure is sky-high.
The bond between Nelly and her caddie has been instrumental in her rise through the ranks, and stories like this show that the smallest calls can make the biggest difference.
In a sport where split-second decisions define legacies, Nelly Korda’s candid moment is a powerful reminder: behind every winning swing is a trusted voice that knows when to speak — and what to say.

Djokovic learns fate in new home as Sabalenka addresses behaviour
Express Sport brings you the latest tennis news from the Paris Masters.
We’re reaching the business end of the Paris Masters, as eight players become four in the French capital. Jannik Sinner is the overwhelming favourite to lift the trophy after Carlos Alcaraz was dumped out by Cameron Norrie in the Spaniard’s opening match. Norrie was then beaten by Valentin Vacherot, whose amazing 10-match winning streak at Masters 1000 level came to an end when he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Canadian star Auger-Aliassime will face Alexander Bublik in the semis. Bublik defeated Alex de Minaur, who is among those to have already qualified for the year-end ATP Finals. Sinner is through to his first Paris Masters semi-final after beating Ben Shelton. He’ll face defending champion Alexander Zverev, who survived a tough match against Daniil Medvedev.
Novak Djokovic is not involved in the Paris Masters, having decided to skip the event for the second year in a row, but he has learned his fate in the draw of next week’s ATP 250 in Athens. And over in Riyadh, the WTA Finals are about to get underway.
