Jordan Spieth’s Next Move Revealed After Travelers Withdrawal
Jordan Spieth is one of the most beloved figures in golf today. The three-time major winner is always fun to watch for his ability to get up and down from seemingly impossible positions, his hot-mic commentary on his shots and his banter with longtime caddie, Michael Greller.
So, it was a shock to the golf community when Spieth suddenly withdrew from the Travelers Championship last week during the first round of play, citing a neck and upper back injury that inhibited his ability to swing without pain. Following Spieth’s unexpected withdrawal, it was uncertain what his next move would be. A recent Instagram post reveals what the 31-year-old Texan is up to this week.
In a post on Spieth’s Instagram account, the Texas native is pictured taking a selfie with junior golfers at Brookhaven Country Club, Spieth’s childhood home course. Spieth was giving a Q&A with the aspiring young golfers during the Under Armor/Jordan Spieth Championship.
“Making his mark ✍️,” the AJGA caption reads.
Another post shows Spieth greeting a junior player with the caption, “Back like he never left 🏠”
Fans were happy to see Spieth giving back to junior golfers and gave him props considering his recent injury, with one commenter saying “Well you keep yourself busy doing admirable work with others, even when you’re injured! Kudos to you 👏!❤️.” Another noted, “You have done such a magnificent job of balancing personal, professional and giving back. Life is hard to balance for all of us, you seem to be handling it well.”
The Under Armor/Jordan Spieth Championship takes place through Thursday and hosts an impressive field of 78 junior golfers, 49 of whom are Texans just like Spieth, looking to follow in his footsteps.

Djokovic learns fate in new home as Sabalenka addresses behaviour
Express Sport brings you the latest tennis news from the Paris Masters.
We’re reaching the business end of the Paris Masters, as eight players become four in the French capital. Jannik Sinner is the overwhelming favourite to lift the trophy after Carlos Alcaraz was dumped out by Cameron Norrie in the Spaniard’s opening match. Norrie was then beaten by Valentin Vacherot, whose amazing 10-match winning streak at Masters 1000 level came to an end when he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Canadian star Auger-Aliassime will face Alexander Bublik in the semis. Bublik defeated Alex de Minaur, who is among those to have already qualified for the year-end ATP Finals. Sinner is through to his first Paris Masters semi-final after beating Ben Shelton. He’ll face defending champion Alexander Zverev, who survived a tough match against Daniil Medvedev.
Novak Djokovic is not involved in the Paris Masters, having decided to skip the event for the second year in a row, but he has learned his fate in the draw of next week’s ATP 250 in Athens. And over in Riyadh, the WTA Finals are about to get underway.
